Callum McConnachie
Callum, a practicing architect for over 5 years, is a graduate of the University of Strathclyde's Advanced Architectural Studies program. He joined Arkhi in 2014 and has since garnered a decade's worth of experience as a project lead designer.
In addition to his professional expertise, Callum has a passion for traveling to attend international music festivals and exploring cities worldwide. He also enjoys cinema, coffee, and whisky.
Callum possesses a remarkable ability to take projects from inception to completion while exceeding client expectations within budget. As an accomplished project lead, he has a proven track record of success, demonstrated not only through the initial concept design and planning of the project but also through detail design and experienced onsite supervision.
Callum's proficiency in insulation, air tightness, and ventilation design for healthy homes is strengthened by his completion of the Passivhaus designer course. He is an advocate of correct detailing and ensuring practically buildable execution of details on-site to achieve the highest EPC ratings on new buildings and retrofit projects.
As the project architect for several award-winning designs, including the subterranean eco-house and The Roost, Callum brings a wealth of experience to any project. He has also served as the delivery architect for Brookmere barns.
